Blog Day Three

We are so grateful to God for this day! Pastor Francisco opened his church’s doors for us to have clinic in the town El Brisal. Clinic was packed with really sweet people ready to receive treatment and prayer.

Of course, we had another great day with the Dr. Snellgroves over at the medical stations! We were able to treat 20 patients before lunch, which kept us busy all morning. A lot of families came in together, and it felt really special being able to care for entire households at once. Days like this are such a good reminder of how rewarding this work is. We treated tinea, lots of general well checks, hypertension, COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, UTIs, eczema, and so much more!

Over at physical therapy, we saw many patients with knee pain, cerebral palsy, post-stroke, cervical pain and hypermobility, a rotator cuff strain, and a few more cases of low back pain. It was encouraging seeing everyone wanting to get better and put in the hard work to do their exercises. On top of that, they were very open to letting us hear their stories. Our first patient of the day shared her story about fighting cancer and how she is cancer free now! Praise God! She was actually on her way to teach the Good News to others, so it was uplifting to get to learn from her first thing this morning. Another one of our patients told us her story about her house falling on her in Haiti and messing up her knees. We learned a lot from her as well because she was filled with so much joy and faith, and it was motivating to see how resilient she is.

It was very special getting to know the people in El Brisal and spend the day with them. We want to thank God for the opportunity to do so and pray that He would continue His ministry there. We felt like we were ministered to and prayed over a lot as well, so we are incredibly thankful for how they refreshed us today. Please pray for this town and that they would continue to lean on the Lord and their community. Please pray that God would bring continued relief to the pain they are experiencing and the health challenges they are facing. We hope we were able to provide a jumpstart to recovery for a lot of them today, but most importantly, that it was a jumpstart to their personal relationships with the Lord.

Con benediciones,

PA/PT Crew (Team Name Still to be Decided…)
