Hola!!!! Today was amazing (these kids schooled me in soccer) and clinic is officially OVER!! It is always a bittersweet day. Although we may get more than 5 hours of sleep tonight, we are sad to no longer see smiles and comradery all day inside clinic. One thing I observed more in clinic today was an increase in the providers praying with the patients after treatment. We had some tough procedures today too. I kindly ask you to pray for all of the patients our hands have touched this week that they will have a quick recovery and be safe for the rest of their days. I was blessed to be in Evangelism this afternoon. Honestly, I had a pretty emotional experience. I couldn’t help but tear up praying over these beautiful patients. They truly are so grateful and it warms my heart.
I cannot express my gratitude enough to the dentists who have been on this trip. They are just so knowledgeable. Not only about dentistry, but about their faith. It inspires all of us to bring our faith into our practices as we grow in our field. They truly are an inspiration in their walks of faith and I will always look up to them.
Thank you for all of your continued prayers. They have been working through all of our hearts. Please continue to pray that the seeds have been planted in the hearts of all the people in the Dominican Republic. Tomorrow we will be headed to a resort on our “off day”. I can promise you with this bunch that there will be “no rest” and we will be playing lots of games. Our community has grown so much and I cannot wait to bring this energy back to the United States.
Thank you for your constant support. We love you all. We are praying for you all.
Much love,
Maggie and Nathan
