Hello again!

Today we praised God for a beautiful, cloudy day in the village of Inocencia. We set up our first med clinic and were all excited to get to work. The clinic ran smoothly in the morning and we were able to see a few more patients than expected. We had the privilege of working with the local church and their pastor, Jose. Many of our patients were children. The kids particularly loved Kate, and she had approximately four hanging off of her at any given time.

We enjoyed lunch under the flourishing fiddle leaf fig trees beside the church building and enjoyed the breeze along with our sandwiches. After lunch, it was back to work. The students rotated stations and got to try our hand at something new for the afternoon. I was so thankful to have the privilege of making some house calls with Dr. Brandon. It was a new and eye-opening experience to be welcomed into Dominican homes. In evangelism, we praise God that two people made decisions to follow Jesus and are now a part of the kingdom of God.

We ate as soon as we could upon returning to Score for the evening and prayed and processed with each other in small groups following worship. As I write, most of the team is down the street at the gas station…just because it’s a mission trip does not mean the team is going without a sweet treat. The students in particular have been quite refreshed by a day of hard work with our hands. We are also especially thankful for the patience and graciousness of the providers as they teach and pour into us. Please continue to pray for our team and the people here–that the Spirit would move and God would have his way with us.

In Christ,

Sadie and the team
