The mission trip started off with an incredibly eventful day in clinic. While the road to the original destination was flooded, the Lord made way for the team to pivot and visit a different location, La Palz. At La Palz, the team’s day was very eventful. The team worked as a well-oiled machine and saw a full day’s worth of patients. A couple major highlights of the day were some fillings and extractions done by a group of D2s for the very first time. Meredith did a very complicated filling (a class IV!) and brought a girl’s smile back! The D1s also tackled a full day of cleaning like it was a nothing-burger! Despite limited prior experience, all the students agree that it was incredibly fulfilling and encouraging to be surrounded by a group of people who were working so hard to help others. The mentors were also incredibly generous in their knowledge, and everyone was very grateful. Back on campus, the team reflected on the day and how faithful the Lord was throughout every single challenge and success. It only gets better from here! Stay tuned for more updates!
