Good evening! We have now lost all track of day and time and just go where we are told, BUT we are loving every second of it! The girls are back in charge, sorry parents, the boys beat us to it for the past 2 days. Started off the morning strong with lots of coffee and mini hot dogs? I feel like this could totally be a thing in America. Garrett gave a fabulous devotion, we each had the chance to pray individually with the leaders, and we headed to the capital, Santo Domingo, for our final day of clinic. Today was filled with lots of mole removals, knee injections, and a whole lot of Amlodipine prescriptions. We were able to connect with a lot of members of the church, where clinic was hosted, and it was incredibly evident how the Lord is working in them in so many amazing ways. Multiple community members accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior and we had a chance to pray with every patient that came through the clinic. Dr. Mardon has been a gift to us in the evangelism part of clinic, teaching us the value of the Gospel and how to apply it to our every day lives and future practices. We had our final group worship tonight, led by our future American Idol stars, Paola and Allyson. Dr. Marsha, Dr. George, Dr. Tom shared some beautiful final thoughts with us before our last small group meetings. However, we can’t forget our late night gas station run. No way we could go a week without Funyuns and strawberry ice cream. No tarantulas tonight, and that’s a blessing. Getting some rest tonight so we are gassed up for Catalina tomorrow!
See you soon America!
Sincerely,
Anne and Nina
