Hola,

Today our med clinic was in Boca Chica and resembled a pediatrician’s office. We saw patients of all ages, but had lots and lots of kids come to see us. Many of these children were eager to follow Jesus, and some even led their parents to the Lord. We had 11 beautiful souls pray to receive Christ today!!!! Please pray for their spiritual growth and for them to be ministers of the gospel! 

“At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, ‘Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?’ He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: ‘Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child i the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.” -Matthew 18:1-5

In addition to the joy and adventure the children brought to our day, we also had an adventure on a house call. A makeshift splint was crafted with materials scavenged from the streets and supplied by the Lord to brace a leg fracture, and a machete was even offered up to the medical team to trim the splint. We had to respectfully decline the machete, but Dr. Brandon did not leave without proudly shouting goodbye in French, much to the amusement of all. This particular patient has been living with a complete fracture of his leg for three months, and we pray this splint will help alleviate some of his pain. Dr. Erin taught the students through ultrasound throughout the day. We had the opportunity to ultrasound an eye, and we ended our day doing an ultrasound for a mom at 20 weeks gestation. It was such a joy to enable her to see her baby.
