Executive Director
Mardon Day, DPM
Drs. Mardon and Richelle joined CMMA in January 2024, with Mardon succeeding Bobby Parks and Earle Carpenter as the third Executive Director of CMMA since 1982. Mardon and Richelle come to CMMA from a background in podiatric medicine and surgery as the founding partners of Nashville Family Foot Care, in Nashville, Tennessee. There they served as integral members of the Diabetic Limb Salvage Team at both Centennial Medical Center and Ascension St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville for almost 30-years.
They have two daughters here in Birmingham pursuing their own passions in ministry. Their oldest serves on staff at Campus Outreach at Samford University and the youngest pursuing a career in Nursing at Samford as well.
Early in their professional history, both Mardon and Richelle saw opportunities to engage their God-given talents in vocational medicine into a ministry opportunity to their patients, staff, and professional colleagues. In 2020, Mardon was led to pursue a seminary degree and received a Master's in Theological Studies from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2022. Currently, he is in pursuit of a Doctor of Educational Ministry with an expected graduation in December 2025.
In June 2023, Mardon and Richelle were presented with an opportunity to pursue full-time ministry with CMMA and began the process of transitioning from full-time practice and relocated from Franklin, Tennessee, to Birmingham, Alabama. God, in his sovereign wisdom and strength, guided them both into this new chapter of life in service to the medical and dental community of Birmingham and beyond.
